Tonight I was finally able to attend a Birthday Party for one of Youngest Son's classmates (others have been while I was traveling.) We all had a really good time.
What were the elements of this birthday party for a 6 year old girl?
- Jump House
- Magician
- 2 Fancy Wonderful Piñatas
- Room to run and play
- Pizza
- Cake
- Goody Bags
- Happy kids
- Parents chatting
There were a few parents who spoke English so I was actually able to visit and get to know some of them. Some I had a "real" connection and can see our families socializing in future. I was also able to see and meet some of the kids' friends.

Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? It appears that a little girl has just used a stick to amputate Peter Pan's right leg. A piñata -- I hope. One of those you told us about. That will show him to never grow up.
Was the party at the birthday girl's home -- or one of those party establishments that are so popular in Mexico?

Yep - she has certainly taken off a leg! The whole piñata part was quite interesting. The song the kids sang was too cute.
It was at a establishment in the small Mexican town in which the kids go to school. It had a cement "stage", grassy area and temporary canopy for food. So I think this must be "one of those party establishments that are so popular in Mexico" ... learning everyday ...
