Rain Oh Glorious Rain

I feel a bit thrown back in time when villagers anxiously awaited the arrival of the rains. Today is the day for us. Lightening flickered throughout the night and finally rain tumbled onto our small part of Mexico this morning.

Unlike the villagers, the first rain has crippled our electricity. I have already missed one conference call and was not able to be heard on the second one. Electricity comes and goes so I try to quickly send emails when the electricity presents itself.

It was fun for our family to witness the beautiful rain this morning. Youngest Son commented “It smells like Hawaii!”
We arrived during the rains last July and have now experienced the full cycle. Feels special.

I love that last photo - would be nice to have a way to click to enlarge ;-)

Sunny and nice over here on the East Coast ;-)

Hmmm. I may need some blogger help here.

You are right - it does not let you enlarge.

But the 1st one does.

So what is going on? Do I need to do something different?

I just reloaded and still no luck. As I roll my curser over pics - it appears some have path attached and can be enlarged but others do not ...

Perplexed

I'm so glad you had the wisdom to have this year in Mexico. Every adult I know who lived for a time in a foreign country sees life very, very differently then those who haven't been exposed to another culture.
What a wonderful adventure for all of you.

B - You are so right. Somehow a requirement of life should be "Live outside your home country." I am very, very hopeful this will not be our last year of adventure ...

HS - It rained again this afternoon! I am surprised at how wonderful it has made me feel.
